What’s Going on at UAA Sacramento NSBE Jr?
UAA Sacramento NSBE Jr Chapter offers an exciting opportunity for students to explore the STEM fields, and to assist students in completing the A-G curriculum.
NSBE Jr is a student-led group that has workshops to educate and hands-on tools needed to learn about STEM year-round.
Our goal is to expose students to various STEM disciplines and provide them with educational, mentoring and networking opportunities that might lead to higher education and or career pathways into the STEM professions.
The applied activities and research projects relate to strengthening one’s understanding of science (physics, chemistry, etc.) and mathematics.
UAA Sacramento NSBE Jr Student participants formed a robotics team, called the “RoboRays” and completed the underwater robot build project to compete in the Port City SeaPerch competition. Team “RoboRays” prepared a presentation and design for competition.
